Volunteer With ACF!

At the Alberta Cancer Foundation, volunteers are powerful partners in making life better for Albertans facing cancer. Through your support as a volunteer the Alberta Cancer Foundation can make a difference by reducing risk, providing earlier diagnosis, better treatments and improved quality of life for all Albertans facing cancer.

For the 43 Albertans, who hear the words, ‘you have cancer’ every single day, we can offer three in return, “we will help.” Volunteer today!

Together, we can make a difference for cancer patients across the province.

Going forward, don’t think that the only measure of success is a cure for cancer. This type of research will make treatments easier for people like me and improve our chance of success. That’s all I can ask for.

Our Model

We strive to be one of the most innovative, philanthropic organizations in Canada by delivering transformational results for Alberta cancer patients and their families. We strategically invest in research and programs that have a direct line of sight to patients. We are taking a bold, new approach to speed progress and bring results to patients faster.

We invest in things that matter most to Albertans facing cancer – faster diagnoses, better treatments, enhanced quality of life and positive outcomes. We focus our investment strategy on cancer research, enhanced care and prevention and screening. We intend to invest $120 million between 2012 and 2017, with over $51 million already invested to date. As the largest philanthropic investor in cancer research in Alberta, we have the capacity and the relationships to invest in the most promising outcomes.
