In January 2021, they lost their dear friend Sarah, a karate mom and wife and a stalwart supporter of the dojo, to cancer. Sarah had been with them since 2008, studying for a time with her family and eventually becoming the dojo’s treasurer. She also joined them on a very memorable training junket to Okinawa, Japan in 2016.
This year, it only seems fitting that they remember and honour Sarah’s dedication and devotion to the dojo by training hard and raising money to support the foundation’s research and its support for Albertans living with cancer.
