Thank you for considering supporting us in our Albertans Helping Albertans Online Auction, taking place August 1-31, 2020. Our goal is to highlight the best Alberta has to offer, by featuring note-worthy local businesses and unique experiences across our community.
Unfortunately, cancer doesn’t stop during a pandemic. And it is our goal to continue raising funds to support Albertans facing cancer through these times, with a focus on financial support. 53 Albertans hear the words ‘you have cancer’, every single day. As the largest provincial health foundation in Alberta, we are uniquely positioned to help you make an immediate difference and impact for your friends, neighbours and loved ones facing this disease.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this initiative. Together, we can make a difference for Albertans facing cancer.
Mark your calendars! We will be launching this initiative August 1st, 2020.
Our event/fundraiser will be a Virtual Yoga Session hosted on Facebook. We were inspired by the idea to do yoga as our fundraiser activity of choice because we want to promote health and wellness as well as cancer awareness to our participants. We feel that Yoga aligns well with the vision that the Alberta Cancer Foundation has and is a fun activity for our participants to be involved with.
Free participant registration. Any donation amount is appreciated.
The Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer is in support of the most courageous and brave Albertans who have shown their Alberta strength through a cancer experience. Those with us. And those we’ve lost.
The event will be virtual and held on August 28th. You can cycle from anywhere and any distance in support cancer research and care delivered by Albertans, for Albertans.

Cancer can be a huge strain on the finances. People are often forced to cash in their retirement funds and use up their savings to make ends meet during treatment. The costs can be so overwhelming that some patients will decide against having life-saving therapy and instead choose a lesser treatment as they simply cannot afford the out-of-pocket expenses for items such as medications, medical supplies, transportation, accommodations and child care. Thanks to individuals like you, patients and families are able to receive financial support during their treatment so they can focus on what matters most – healing.
