On June 22-23, 2013 nearly 2,000 cyclists will find their velocity in the fifth Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer as they bike 200 kilometres over two days in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the vision of a cancer-free future. The 2013 edition of the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will feature a new route, new camp, and new ride to challenge Riders as they pedal for a great cause.
Over the last four years, more than $30.8 million has been raised in this history-making cycling event, pushing the pace of discovery for cutting-edge cancer research, treatment, prevention and care initiatives across the province. In 2012, 1,854 the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer Riders raised $8 million to help the Alberta Cancer Foundation promise progress to those facing cancer.
Today, February 6th, is Epic Impact Day which challenges all Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer participants across Canada to secure at least one donation for their ride campaign. Riders are challenged to reach a $2,500 fundraising minimum to participate in the event and Epic Impact Day is one way the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer can help raise record sums of money for the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Cross Cancer Institute, and 15 other cancer centres across the province supported by the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Thanks to the passion, dedication, and innovation from Canada’s community of survivors, Riders, and their supporters, Epic Impact Day raised a remarkable $1 million across Canada.
