Kevin was diagnosed with Birkett Lymphoma in November 2021. This was a huge shock as Kevin was fit and healthy and had been hiking in the Rocky Mountains the week before his diagnosis.
Following surgery and treatment during an 8 week stay in hospital, the cancer is now gone.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude for saving Kevin’s life and we are asking our friends, families and anyone in our networks to help us raise money for tomorrows cancer patients.
The treatment that Kevin received isn’t specific to Canada. It’s a treatment, that through research and trials is given to all patients across the world.
The Cross Cancer Institute not only treats cancer patients but they also conducts research and trials to find new treatments and hopefully one day a cure.
By donating to the Cross Cancer Institute you are not only helping their patients but also patients around the world.
On October 22nd we will be walking from our home to the Cross Cancer Institute, which is a journey that Kevin’s family made multiple times a day for 8 weeks, visiting him during treatment. This is a trip that many people make every day from their homes whilst living with a cancer diagnosis.
