Expression of Interest Call - Cancer Early Detection 2018-2019

The Foundation is seeking to invest in solutions that improve outcomes for Albertans facing all cancer types through earlier detection, diagnosis and risk stratification of patients. Of particular interest are opportunities using liquid biopsies and biomarkers for the earlier detection of cancer in patients. A liquid biopsy examines a sample of blood and looks for circulating biomarkers from a tumor or for pieces of DNA from tumor cells. A liquid biopsy may be used to help find cancer at an early stage, before a patient displays any symptoms. Investments must have a direct line of sight to patients and families and a clear and direct impact on patient outcomes.

Individuals interested in putting forward an idea must submit an Alberta Cancer Foundation Expression of Interest Form by NOON (MST) on October 19th, 2018 and a Letter of Intent by NOON (MST) on November 2nd, 2018.
