Teeing up for Glioblastoma research

The 22nd Annual Tom Baker Cancer Centre Golf Classic took place September 5th at the Heritage Point. For years this tournament has raised funds for the Alberta Cancer Foundation, the fundraising partner for the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. This year was no exception with the event bringing in more than $350,000 for Dr. Cairncross’ groundbreaking glioblastoma research!

Volunteers, sponsors, donors, golfers worked hard to make the event a success. The day included a driving clinic, 18 holes of golf, on-course activities, silent and live auction items and a banquet. Everyone pitched in to make the day a success and as this year’s event wrapped up, pledges of support for next year were already underway. Thanks to everyone involved – It’s events like this that help drive progress!
